I was born in Chattanooga, TN. and grew up in Marietta, GA. where I loved playing in the woods around my house. Even now leaves and organic shapes are a recurring theme in my work.
I got my Bachelor of Visual Arts with a major in painting from Georgia State University, and after graduation worked independently in a variety of media (primarily oils and watercolors). I exhibited my paintings extensively through the 80s and 90s.
I began to get interested in jewelry design about 10 years ago(they are like little sculpture)and since then have written articles for Bead & Button Magazine, Step by Step Beads, and Bead World.
Now, I live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with my husband Harold. I have two sons, Josh, who guides and teaches in Alaska, and Ben, who is a sophomore in college in Arizona. To see more of my finished work and check out my teaching schedule, visit my website.
