Pamela Welborn AKA Violetbead
I have been beading for over 15 years and teaching beading for about 12 years.
I especially love Japanese seed beads in size 11 and size 15. Not a delica fan but maybe someday.... I especially love teaching other people about beading.

I teach the following stitches/projects: peyote, brick, herringbone, helix, netting, St Petersburg chain, spiral rope, Dutch spiral, beaded pens, beaded Christmas ornaments, earrings, pouches, necklaces, bracelets - just about anything beaded, I have tried it.

I have had 7 articles published by Jewelry Crafts Magazine and one by Bead & Button Magazine.

Currently, I design patterns and make kits for beading projects. I teach when I get the chance and I enjoy the company of other beaders whenever possible.

Nancy Zellers
Nancy Zellers started exploring the possibilities of beads in the early '70s but didn't turn to them full-time until the late '90s. Her work has been featured in many magazines and bead books. Nancy publishes in Beadwork, Step-by-Step Beads, and Bead&Button magazines. Her projects are included in Interweave Press's Beaded Beads, Beaded Bags and Beaded Earrings books. She appears in the Gallery section of books by Chris Prussing and Jeannette Cook. 'Orange' and 'Robe for a Snow Princess' are in '500 Beaded Objects' published by Lark Books. Some of her projects are in 'Lark Books' 'The Art of Beaded Beads' and 'Crystal Jewelry Projects' books.

Nancy likes to design beadwork that is deceptively minimalist yet challenging to execute. She especially enjoys teaching beadwork classes and encouraging others to develop their own style of beadwork. Nancy teaches at Bead & Button, Bead Expo and the Rocky Mountain Bead Society Bead Bazaar in Denver. Her sculptural pieces often appear in contemporary art shows, regionally and nationally. She has been in B&B's Bead Dreams show several times.

Hi my bead sisters and brothers! I hope you are enjoying my patterns. I can tend to get a little over the top sometimes but really love doing easy, beginner pieces. I live in Center Valley Pa and teach classes at My Father's Beads, the Reading Pa Bead show, Beadfest in Philly and will be doing a little traveling to teach with the innovative bead show in the near future. I have written over 30 articles for Bead & Button, Beadwork, Bead World, Step by Step, and my newest favorite, bead patterns the magazine!
I have also written a book published and available by Sterling Publishing Co in NYC titled "Great Beaded Gifts".
I bead everyday...even xmas...and I probably come up with a new (well, nothing is really every NEW) idea every week...I will continue to add my new ideas as often as I can and would love any and all feedback. Hope to see you soon in one of my classes...

Hi! I specialize in wire design, hand-wrapped chain making and right angle weave.

I started beading after repetitive stress injuries left her unable to perform as a professional musician. Beading was my therapy and allowed me to use my hands again.

Then, while at a bead store, my roommate found a wire book. After the initial amazement of the amount of wire needed for a project wore off, I bought some sterling and has never looked back! Due to my stress-related hand injuries, I developed techniques that minimize hand strain and allow almost everyone to work with wire.

Finally, my hands have healed enough to work, for limited periods of time, with tiny beads! I’m designing simple things for both beginners and people like me – hand injuries (and boredom) will prevent doing a major project, but an hour or two and a fabulous project is exactly what I need!

I’ve taught at BeadFest, and will teach at Bead and Button, Wire Fest, and Jewelry Arts Expo. I also teach in the south Florida area.

I came to beading after a lifetime of other crafts and art forms. Painting had been my most long standing previous addiction but ….. BEADS took over. My daughter has been a designer of jewelry for 20+ years but I never got the fever from her. Along came Judith Bertoglio-Giffin and Sharon Lawrence who insisted that I COULD learn to bead to my satisfaction. Looking for help, I found Mare Letson in Memphis and through her, Beverly Herman. Since then in addition to learning to bead (GBG), I’ve formed lifelong friendships. We challenge each other, admire each others work and have a lot of fun along the way. Beading led to an interest in polymer clay as an extension of the beading. I previously spent a lot of time on the computer creating graphics. So when Bev, Judith, I, and friends decided we were going to do some microscope slide jewelry and some bottle cap jewelry, the computer and graphics called me back. I’ve decided (after much urging) to place my microscope slide and bottle cap graphics on Bead Patterns. Now maybe I can get back in the studio and finish that WILD (Marcie style) freeform necklace I have going.
I suppose I should add that in addition to being an addict, I’m a wife, the mother of 4, the grandmother of 11 and the great grandmother of 8.

This is a self portrait. I have been an Artist all my life. Painting, sculpturing, and I added beading to the mix 2 1/2 years ago and now I am working with precious wire jewelry. I have a husband of 40+ years who supports my obsessions and two grown sons who grew up with them. We live in Oregon and love it here.
Now on to the next project!

Charlotte Holley - Beaded Legends by Chalaedra
I was born in ALbuquerque, NM way back in 1950 and moved with my parents to Texas when I was four months old. I always loved jewelry and collected stones and other components all my life, thinking one day I would learn to wire wrap. I'd still like to learn that art, but imagine my delight when I discovered how to bead wrap all my treasures!

I started beading in 1987 when my teenage daughter brought home a single beaded earring. I borrowed it to learn how to make the earring, thinking I would make one to match it so I could borrow something of hers for a change. A year later when I managed to find the beads to match that earring, I had made fifty designs of my own and sadly, the mate for that earring never did get made, NOR did I ever return it to my daughter -- which proves moms can borrow things and never return them, too.

I have been beading ever since and loving every minute of it. I had a bead shop in Austin, Texas for thirteen months in the early 1990s, but the timing was off and I had to close again. I loved having all the beads to play with, but found I wasn't really much of a shop keeper. My love and talent lay in creating, not in selling.

I live near Houston, Texas with my house mate (who is also my business partner -- we grow wheatgrass), more cats than I should have and my beads! What more could any woman ask for? Oh, by the way, I also love to sing and I'm in a barbershop quartet. This picture was taken after one of our performances just before Christmas.
